The Stainless 316 Chequer Sheet is more corrosion resistance than the grade 304 plates. The 316 material has 4% molybdenum content which gives it more corrosion resistance against chloride ion corrosion. There are different specifications such as the ASME SA240 316 Chequer Plate which is meant for high pressure and high temperature services.
